Timothy Rausenberger earned his Bachelor of Music degree at Wilkes University, where he was a double major in Instrumental Music Education and Voice Performance. He is a current Master of Music Education candidate at Adams State University. His instrumental, vocal, and conducting instructors include William Teubner, Kevin Deas, Richard Chapline, Anthony Maiello, Jeffrey Rensink, Jerry Campbell, and Alan Baker. Mr. Rausenberger holds standard certifications in the State of New Jersey as a Teacher of Music (K-12) and Elementary School Instructor of All Subjects (K-8). He currently resides in Haskell, New Jersey.

For the past twenty-three years, Mr. Rausenberger has taught instrumental, choral, and general music at the elementary and secondary levels in public schools and summer music programs throughout northern New Jersey. He is currently a high school band and chorus director in the Union City (NJ) Public Schools.

Mr. Rausenberger has been a teacher and mentor to hundreds of students over the course of his career. His warm, caring, and positive approach is suitable for all ages and ability levels. His friendly personality and quick adaptability allow students with special needs to reach their limitless potential.

Mr. Rausenberger has earned a reputation as one of the foremost audition coaches in the state of New Jersey. Hundreds of his private students have auditioned for and been accepted to County, Area, District, Region, All-State, and All-Eastern ensembles. He also has extensive experience preparing musicians for college auditions; his students have gone on to attend institutions including: The College of New Jersey, John J. Cali School of Music (Montclair State University), Mason Gross School of the Arts (Rutgers University), The Hartt School of Music, Ithaca College, University of Michigan, Northwestern University, Kinhaven Music School, The Tanglewood Institute, Aspen Music Festival, New England Conservatory, Manhattan School of Music, Eastman School of Music, and The Juilliard School.

Mr. Rausenberger has over three decades of experience as an instrumental performer, singer, and conductor:

  • Pro Arte Chorale - tenor section leader and soloist; performances at Carnegie Hall, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and The Cathedral of St. John the Divine
  • Bergenfield Community Band - Founder and Music Director
  • Teaneck Summer Community Band - guest conductor, French horn section leader and soloist, and trumpet player
  • Ramsey Wind Symphony - Music Director; performances at Madison Square Garden and WTA Tennis Tour events
  • New Jersey Wind Symphony (formerly Ridgewood Concert Band) - French horn
  • Performed in numerous churches of all denominations as tenor section leader, tenor soloist, and trumpet soloist

Mr. Rausenberger frequently holds clinics and lectures exploring a wide variety of topics:

  • Held workshops on Band Recruitment, Band Retention, and Percussion Ensemble at the New Jersey Band Conference and multiple New Jersey Music Educators Association (NJMEA) state conferences
  • Pre-concert lecturer for the Pro Arte Chorale and North Jersey Philharmonic Orchestra
  • Published numerous articles in TEMPO Magazine (official publication of the NJMEA)
  • Presented sessions for prospective music educators at colleges and universities on music school survival techniques, the job search process, first-year pitfalls, and maintaining a positive mindset amidst adversity
