Timothy Rausenberger earned his Bachelor of Music degree at Wilkes University, where he was a double major in Music Education (instrumental) and Performance (voice). He has graduate studies at Central Connecticut State University and the University of the Arts (Philadelphia, PA). His instrumental, vocal, and conducting instructors have been William Teubner, Kevin Deas, Richard Chapline, Anthony Maiello, Jeffrey Rensink, Jerry Campbell, and Alan Baker. Mr. Rausenberger holds standard certifications in the State of New Jersey as a teacher of music (K-12) and elementary school instructor of all subjects (K-8). He currently resides in Haskell, NJ.

Mr. Rausenberger has taught instrumental, choral, and general music at the elementary and secondary levels in the public schools and various summer music programs throughout New Jersey. These districts have included the Bergenfield Public Schools, Edgewater School District, Harrington Park Public Schools, Mahwah Public Schools, New Milford Public Schools, School District of the Chathams, and Vernon Township Public Schools.

Dozens of students in Mr. Rausenberger's studio have gone on to enjoy successful careers in music. The warm, caring, and positive approach of Mr. Rausenberger is suitable for people of all ages and ability levels.  His personality and quick adaptability allow students with special needs to reach their limitless potential.

Students frequently seek lessons with Mr. Rausenberger to prepare or coach them for auditions. Hundreds of his private students have auditioned for and been accepted to County, Area, DIstrict, Region, All-State, and All-Eastern ensembles. Others have worked with him on college preparation for music programs in numerous institutions, including the Juilliard School, Eastman School of Music, Tanglewood Institute, Manhattan School of Music, Northwestern University, Ithaca College, Rutgers University, Montclair State University, and The College of New Jersey.

Mr. Rausenberger has extensive experience for over twenty-five years as an instrumental performer, singer, and conductor:

  • Pro Arte Chorale (tenor section leader and soloist); performances at Carnegie Hall, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and St. John the Devine
  • Bergenfield Community Band (founder and music director)
  • Teaneck Summer Community Band (guest conductor, French horn section leader and soloist, and trumpet player)
  • Ramsey Wind Symphony (music director); performances at Madison Square Garden and WTA Tennis Tour events
  • Ridgewood Concert Band (French horn)
  • Numerous churches of all denominations (tenor section leader, tenor soloist, and trumpet soloist); masses, services, funerals, and weddings

Mr. Rausenberger is a frequent clinician and lecturer on a wide array of topics, including band recruitment, percussion ensemble, music history, and band literature:

  • Clinics on band recruitment, band retention, percussion ensemble, and teaching techniques for non-percussionists at the New Jersey Band Conference and New Jersey Music Educators Association state conferences
  • Pre-concert lecturer for the Pro Arte Chorale and North Jersey Philharmonic Orchestra
  • Numerous articles in TEMPO Magazine (official publication for the New Jersey Music Educators Association)
